'London News' Framed Oil Painting

Wonderfully illustrated and detailed original oil painting artwork by an artist signed J. Taylor who we believe to be an English artist working around the late Victorian time c1880. Entitled "The illustrated London News". The subject is of a studious tradesman with pipe in mouth, reading a newspaper of the time dated March 9th 1826. The artwork is encased in a wonderfully detailed and profiled gilt frame with a hand scripted plaque bearing the lettering of his name sake. Complete with signature in the bottom left of the piece.
