British Library Table

Description:
A seriously commanding piece of furniture, dictating its own presence, possibly doubling up as an over-extended long console table. Circa 1880, this quality Victorian medullary rayed quarter cut oak British library table requires some space but will reward its new owner with a glowing satisfaction. The writing surface top is set off with an inlaid dark green leather and bound with aged brass stud work. Constructed with peg jointing and cot beaded rails, it is completed with six symmetrical drawers all finished with wonderfully patinated original brass cup handles. This table is supported by 6 gloriously tapered legs and finished off with carved Marlborough detailed feet
